Cairns

Welcome to the tropical paradise of Cairns!

The city of Cairns is located on the coast of far North Queensland and is home to more than 130,000 people from all corners of the world and is renowned for its tourism attractions, in special the Great Barrier Reef and the Wet Tropics World Heritage rainforest.

Cairns is a small city (when comparing to cities such as Melbourne and Sydney) but here, you will find the best of Australia`s culture; including its strong Aboriginal influence and the most exotic birds, fauna and flora.\

Itinerary

Day 1:
Cairns - This afternoon will be at leisure. Tonight, we will head into the city centre for dinner and orientation. We will then visit the Cairns Night Markets - the perfect place to pick up some souvenirs for your family and friends.

Day 2:
Cairns/Green Island - After breakfast we will depart on a boat cruise to Green Island. You will have the opportunity to snorkel and see brightly coloured tropical fishes, giant clams and different types of soft and hard coral. Lunch is included on this day trip and you can also try the semi submersible or glass bottom boat rides to learn more about the reef from the Marine Biologists on board.
Tonight will be at leisure.

Day 3:
Cairns - We will visit Tjapukai an Aboriginal village where you will learn about the Aboriginal culture and history. You will see a demonstration of their traditional dance, boomerang and spear throwing and can even have a go yourself!
Tonight you will have an included final meal with the group.

Day 4:
Cairns/Back home - This morning you will say good bye to your new friends and head home.
